  1. You mean like the countries people fled from to become a U.S citizen??

Because people came to America to be free and not live under constant government rule.

  2. Different cultures, different beliefs.  The difference is OK with me, as long as those who don't think like me don't use government to force me to act like them.

  3. Because the European countries that have embraced it have let go of a lot of the theocracy mess that our country can't seem to get past. But you have to remember most countries in Europe are centuries older than we are and have been through enough to see where theocracy gets them. We have not been so lucky yet.

PS To Taglo: LOL your post was the funniest thing I have read all day. Americans think for themselves. That's HILARIOUS.

  4. Americans want to think for themselves rather than be told what to do and herded around like cattle.

Europe has been by ruled by Kings and Queens that made all the rules and the people never had any say.  That is ingrained into them, to follow.

The first American that came here were sick of that and they have taught their children not to just follow mindlessly.

Lots of immigrants have come here lately wanting a free ride so they are pushing a social agenda to make it easy for them.

  5. Um, because it's morally bankrupt and counter to the fundamentals of our constitution - we started this nation to be different, on purpose.

If I wanted to live in France, I would move to France.  So should people who don't like the US - there, see, problem solved.  I'm sure they would welcome those tax dollars, good luck!

  6. The majority so far haven't wanted it.  Wanting something only because someone else embraces it is a bad philosophy.  That only begs the old saying, "If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you?"
