    "This is a beige and pleasant land".....

    Can't think why they've changed it - are they anticipating a bad drought this summer maybe?

  5. I think the original plan was to help the people of UK get used to the idea of living on a desert island.  An event which is predicted to happen in a few years time due to Global Warming.

    Either that or the BBC wanted UK to look something like a nuclear dust-bowl following an attack by WMDs fyling in from such as Iraq and/or Iran etc.
