  1. Well, Republican hate mongers calling them stupid doesn't endear them to the party. Republicans for 8 years have been spending  without control and the bill will be handed to today's youth. The Republican administration lied to us all about the reason to go to war, and it has also ignored the constitution in word and deed. The young, rightfully are about hope for the future, the Republicans and their leaders, are about fear and greed. As my daughter would say...duh

  2. IRAQ

  3. Because of media, television, music, colleges and high schools professors and Hollywood. All of these push the liberal life-style... as being cool, generous and environmentalist and everyone is the same... The portray the Republicans as money hungry, war loving and racist.  Are they uniformed yes...where we they get this information, not from the news...the great thing about it...they will all grow into republicans when they are working and trying to raise a family...

  4. Because Republican policies strongly support individuals making over $100K a year with major investments at the expense of those making less than that.  Most youth aren't making $100K a year yet so the Republicans give them the short end of the stick.

  5. A recent Jan. 2008 poll released by Gallup shows steep declines in approval ratings for the Democratic Congress between Jan. 2007 and Jan. 2008.

According to Gallup, the Democratic-led Congress started the year in Jan. 2007 with a 35% approval rating. Recent polling shows an approval rating at only 23%. Recent Harris polls have the approval rating for Congress at 8%.

But perhaps the big story is that not only did the approval rating for the Democratic Congress go down, but the disapproval rating went from 56% in Jan. of 2007, to 71% disapproval in Jan. 2008.

That is a fifteen percent increase on the disapproval side given to the Democratic-led Congress from voters last year.

This could spell trouble for the Democratic Party when it comes to undecided and moderate voters.

Other significant numbers show that Democratic approval numbers are low across the board.

Congressional approval among Republican voters was 28%

    Among Independent voters, only 14%

And among Democratic voters, only 27%

Imagine a Congress that only has a 27% approval rating with their own party's voters. How bad can they get?

Independent voters could really hurt the Democratic Party this coming election. There seems to be little evidence for all the hyped claims of wanting Democrats in the White House.

The Democratic Congress also scored low in all geographical regions, never scoring higher than 25% approval even in the extremely liberal Northeast.

G.W. Bush’s approval ratings dipped as well in the Gallup poll.

During 2007, Bush began the year with a 37% rating and ended at 32%. However, there was virtually no change in his disapproval ratings, moving only slightly from 60% to 63%.

An interesting statistic is that Bush’s approval ratings were at 76% among Republicans, which means the base is relatively happy, unlike that of the Democratic Party.

Among Independents Bush scored 20% approval, and among Democrats only 7%.

While Hillary and other Democratic candidates are talking about connecting so well with the elderly, especially women, the Gallup poll does not reflect this.

Among those over 50 years old, Bush’s approval ratings average at 35% while the Democratic Congress’ average approval ratings among the older generation are less than half that at 15%. That is a 20% gap that older adults have favoring the Republicans!

Where are all those little old gray-haired ladies that Clinton keeps saying will come out voting for her in droves, telling her at all of her campaign events that they want to see a woman in the White House before it is too late for them? The poll sure doesn’t reflect her claims.

The only age group in which the Democratic Congress scores higher than Bush is among the 18 to 30 year olds at 36%; to Bush’s 24% approval rating.

This may explain the massive push by the Democratic Party to register new voters and compel, (bus), the college crowd out to the polling places. Democrats have also been pushing feverishly to lower the voting age to 16 years old in order to garner more inexperienced voters to vote for their inexperienced candidates.

We have seen a significant focus on youth from the Democratic Party in the primaries. This seems to be the only group that is really favoring them.

Once the age of 30 is surpassed, the polling data shows that Bush nearly doubles the Congressional approval rating in every category.

  6. Republicans are the stricked dad and Obama and Hillary are the cool uncle and mom.

  7. Because conservatives tend to be older and believe in this odd thing called 'getting ahead through hard work.'

  8. george whubya bush

  9. There you go...Hannity could care less about you and the red states. It's all about the power of the Republican party. As for Rush he's drinking to much of O,Reilly's kool-aid to wash down his pills. If you can't see the mess our country is in  I don't know how in the world I can explain it to you. The Democrats were not in charge when all this happened. I have a feeling this has a lot to do  with the young Republicans voting. They are voting for their lives and the lives of their families. I say good for them. Look at the markets and what a mess they're in, the state of our schools, tax breaks for the wealthy, lack of jobs as they were sent overseas and people losing their homes. You young people have not lost your senses, you have come to them. Your not uniformed or stupid and thank God you don't drink O'Reilly's kool-aid.

  10. While I realize that I am not really answering your question, there is an old adage that if you are a Republican before you are 30 you are heartless and if you are a Democrat after 30 you are naive.

Young people in general are hopeful and optimistic, which doesn't go well with Republicanism.  Also, as this_one said, Republican policies overwhelmingly favor the wealthy which most young people aren't.

  11. Yes, with Hollywood firmly behind the Democrats, that is the problem. Well, they will find out that Clinton plans to institute the draft. Big surprise. She believes all the peons need to put in government service and that means the draft all of you Democrat lovers.
