  2. It's price has gone down from £2000 per gram to £43 per gram today because as technology has advanced it is obtained more easily. Many universities own particle accelerates and technitium can be obtained in large amounts. Also, as the supply has increased the demand for this element has incresed which has consequently lead to a fall in price. Due to the fact that fossil fuels are running out , there has been an increase in the number of nuclear reactors worldwide compared to the 1950's where technitium is obtained as a by-product from uranium and plutonium.
