Why hasn't Jeff Goldblum been in Star Trek yet?

Seriously, just add ears and instant vulcan! Or he could be a Q type character. Or like one of Reg Barclay's friends. Or his nemesis! Or just a lovely ensign.

C'mon, someone start a petition because I don't know how :(

Now I have a mental picture of Jeff Goldblum with novelty vulcan ears - that's going to haunt me - thanks mate!!

He would have been good as Tuvok.... or lets not go vulcan at all.... wouldn't he have been better as the doctor (in voyager before you have kittens Artemis!) or as Neelix.

Or in the next gen as luxwana (?) troi's love interest, or as Warf's adoptive human dad.... hmmmm pondersome!  

And lets face it he could have played any one in DS9 to make that show entertaining.
