Why hasn't Jose Tabata played any games yet?

just got traded to the pirates organization..

Jose should see playing time earlier now that he is in the Pirates organization. He will end up with the Altoona Curve, the Pirates Double-A affiliate. He will see plenty of time in the line-up there. Also the Pirates are starting a youth movement, so you could see him even if he isn't all the way ready. Bringing in youth and getting them experienced, even though that take their lumps worked for the Tigers a couple years ago.
