The Duke-lacrosse guys and many others have been slandered by this woman. Along with keeping her followers off of juries we need to find other ways to protect fair trials in America.

  1. You also have to take into consideration the temporary public figures these men became. It's like with Richard Jewell and the '96 Olympic Park bombing in Athens. His libel suit, which originally won, was overturned by the appeals court because of the public figure he became.

Grace could argue, priviledge, fair comment, opinion.

  2. Well according the first ammendment she has the right to free speech and I like what Nancy does.  She exposes people and helps us to know the truth about what's going on.  And she is equal opportunity, she's not bias by any means.  I like what she does and if she is sued for slander than you would have to sue the newspaper who says wacko jacko about Michael Jackson and other media outlets.

  3. I wondered the same thing, but when you actually look at the requirements for proving libel or slander, you need to meet certain criteria.  The Duke Lacrosse guys would have a case against the prosecutor, but not against the media because the media was basing their reports on the words of the prosecutor. He is the one who said the lies.

  4. Nancy Grace would be WAY DOWN on the line of people to be sued by the Duke Lacrosse boys. They are already going to be rich with the people they have sued that were DIRECTLY involved in the case and not just reporting on it.

Your obsession with Grace is really kind of scary.

  5. because she works for the news she isnt to blame.... it's what she thinks not what she says.... shes so dumb sometimes i know the video on youtube where they play a prank on her!!! greatness

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=jWPY7b35vF4  <-- awesome!!!

  6. She's a media mouth piece and should just be ignored. However, to prove slander, they would generally have to prove that she was intentionally trying to do them harm, rather than simply expressing her feelings about the news.

But the Duke case brings up and excellent example of why I can't stand her. She reacts to and forms opinions about what's been reported, but doesn't seem to take into account the possibility of any mitigating circumstances or an over-zealous DA.

And for those who would say just don't watch if you don't like her, I always tune out or change when I realize it's one of her stories.

  7. If she qualifies what she say's as an opinion then she cannot be held for slander. She's a big mouth for sure, skates on thin ice, but that's TV.

  8. I REALLY  dislike her!

shes the biggest BIt)ch in this entire world!!!!

She hasn't been sued because that's her job to a be "tough ***" or "realist" about most popular topics( trials)

It brings ratings and people find it entertaining! pl on crack

realist?? my ***, shes so annoying

  9. I don't know and I agree.  Nancy has gone Loco since the birth of her twins.
