Why hasn't anyone invented a mouthwash that dissolves plaque but leaves enamel & gums healthy?

  1. It's not that simple.  Plaque consists of a number of organic chemicals, as well as calcium salts -- but your mouth also consists of organics, and calcium salts.  Perhaps you can now see the problem!
