Question:

Why hasn't anyone thought of this for Bret Farve?

Green Bay should let him go and he should sign a 1 year contract with the Seattle Seahawks. He would play for his old coach Mike Holmgren, who is in his last year as a coach and with Matt Hasselbeck, his old back-up in Green Bay. They could share the QB duties . . .

What do you think of my idea?

  1. That wouldn't fly. The team fully supports Matt Hasselbeck. What message would management be sending to the team if they go make a move to get Brett Favre?

  2. Winning teams don't share QB duties. There is only one starter. That might work some in college, but it won't fly in the NFL. Hasselback is a Pro Bowl quarterback. Messing with him is not a smart idea.

  3. 2 QB systems barely work in college and they don't work at the pro level.  It disrupts any consistency between players, and often signals a certain type of play that this QB is better at than the other guy.  Wth the salary cap teams cant afford 2 starting caliber QB's and for sure not 2 that have been to Pro Bowls.

  4. It's not that I don't think Brett Favre would be a good fit in Seattle, But Matt Hasselbeck is a legit QB, He has played in his fair share of Playoff games, been to the Pro-Bowl, and this is his team. Bringing in another strong QB would only cause trouble, and the division of the team into sides. In addition to that the Seahawks already have two proven backups in Seneca Wallace, and Charlie Frye. Well atleast one solid backup.

  5. Not going to happen. The current team is loyal to Matt Hasselbeck as well as the franchise. Brett Favre would be another situation where he would not be the starting QB.

Favre wants to be the man and needs to be the man. he will not settle for anything less.

  6. Favre wants to play with Minnesota...read on what's been going on and Seattle has Matt why would they need Favre to start some games?
