they did a long time ago.....it was a push mower without an engine-just push power!

Dixie Chopper makes a hybrid mower which when it goes into electric mode they say you can hardly here it.  But the problem is it costs more than 10,000 dollars so the typical homeowner can't afford to buy it.

I have a Black n Decker cordless rechargeable Mower I bought at Lowe's. It was expensive, but it is less noisy than a gas mower and I do not have to buy gas.

They have!  It's called a reel mower.  You push it yourself.  Mine works great and I bought mine at ACE Hardware a few years ago for $79.

Get a push mower they are very quiet and while you are

at it get a quiet leaf blower it is called a rake.
