  1. Bush did.  He called Russia's actions a disproportional response.  It means that Georgia started it and Russia went beyond Bush's idea or a reasonable response.

  2. because the US/UK dont want their people to know about it. If they do, they'll learn next that we are the ones that trained them, armed them AND gave them the green light to carry out their attempted ethnic cleansing. It's really a pretty pathetic story when you get right down to the facts. The US yet again caught red-handed fomenting a war in a region they have no business being in in the first place.

  3. Bush did speak out about it. He said the Russians are Bad! Very very bad!!!!

  4. Good point my friend. Skynews tells us what they deem necessary, which unfortunately is not always the truth.

The NWO have definitely got a finger in this pie.

  5. Because thew US still doesn;t like Russia, and likes to think it's still firends with Georgia (who did help invade Iraq).

  6. That's ur pov!..Ossetia (like the palestinians under the thrall of syria/iran etc), provoked, supported and emboldened by the russians have been lobbing bombs into georgia proper for some time. This is part of the russian game plan. Georgia's pres..admittedly a bit of a hot-head..should have consulted with possible allies in the west b4 launching a counter-strike.

To see how much Putin cares about genoicide/sovereignty etc just look @ his record in chechnya. Personally, I would launch simultaneous preemptive nuclear attacks on moscow, pekin and tehran and see if they have the balls 2 retali8!

This is based on my personal but expert views on human psychology.

I have fought wars on a micro-scale in my pubs and streets and succeeded by convincing people that I have nothing 2 lose, whereas they have theirselves and their relatives very lives at stake..not 2 mention their property. They r scared of that dark abyss and instinctively recoil and turn away!

  7. It was agents from the Russian military intelligence agency that started the unrest in Ossetia

  8. Because Georgia is an ally of USA/UK and a country which wants to join NATO - this last is unlikely to happen now.  However, the USA have moved swiftly to bring aid [come in peace] to the people of Georgia, many thousands of whom are now refugees in their own country thanks entirely to Russian military aggression.

Ossetia is a legitimate part of Georgia - a Democratic nation.

What the Russians have done is claim that because the majority pop of Ossetia are ethnic Russians, then it [Ossettia] belongs to them.

This is the same argument used by Adolf Hitler before sending the n**i Army into the Sudetenland.

The Russians do not have the same military might which they once had.  They are now faced with the consequences of their aggression and I hope that other members of the Security Council do something positive to chastise Russia - economic sanctions for a start.

Russia is like Saudi Arabia, it has a lot of gas and oil, but it is not a world power like the USA.  And remember that the USA is supported by UK and France and all of NATO.

It's a case of "Come out with your hands up, you are surrounded".

  9. TAKE A LOOK AT THE TOTAL PICTURE, MY FRIEND.

Since President Bush is all for fighting for "Freedom and Democracy"

then I think we should help Georgia kick Russias butt by supplying air support, advisors and ammo! They have thousands of troops fighting on the ground in Iraq and Afganistan with us. You watch, Russia is going to take advantage of this by bullying other countries into remaining Russian dominated! It pisses Russia off that Georgia wants to join NATO. This is all about Power and Control of the region and its OIL by Russia who is running around the world and the ANTARTIC claiming rights to oil reserves! You mark my words, the next world war will be fought, for the most part, over ENERGY! All it will take is something like this, or Iran nuking Israle, to set it off, but it will be largely about control of the worlds energy supplies!

But look, regarding Georgia, if my neighbor and friend is whipping the daylights out of his kid for gross misbehavior, and his neighbor (the neighborhood bully with a reputation for being a thug) came over and started to stomp my friend into the ground and was obviously going to kill him, I would jump in with all means at my disposal and stop it!

I wouldn't stand around like Bush and worry that I might get my hands dirty by saying like a wuss, "Excuse me, excuse me Sir, would you stop doing that PLEASE, pretty PLEASE?"

I'm tired of these wimps and libs allowing bullies to run amok like Hitler did before we finally got up our nerve to do something. Remember, we weren't going to "get involved" when Hiltler was rolling across Europe until Japan jumped us! Let's not repeat history or be too stupid to remember its lessons!

  10. Ossetia is part of Georgia, so it was an internal conflict; you mean Georgie attacked itself?

Well, in that case, the US attacked itself too, back in 1861, when some states decided they didn't want to be part of the USA anymore.  They did manage to keep the country together, after 4 years of desperate fighting.

So we don't a problem, in principle, with preventing the secession of part of a country.

  11. Yes you are quite right . It was the Georgian army that started this conflict with their ethnic cleansing campaign. The Russians responded to protect Ossetia, maybe a little forceably but that how they do things in Russia. Georgia thought that NATO or the Americans would come to their rescue. How wrong they were .

  12. You should check your facts!

The Georgian army was provoked into fighting by attacks from Ossetian irregulars and Russian so called 'peace keeping' forces, timed for when the eyes of the world was on the Olympic games. Russia also increased the numbers of its forces prior to the attacks WITHOUT agreement from Georgia.

  13. maybe they have something that the usa/uk think is useful

  14. Because they're too busy having a go at Russia for acting in a perfectly legal and morally correct way.

  15. First, Georgia has every right to protect it's sovereignty.  Look at the revolutionary war in Britain's case, and the civil war in America's case.  They were both fighting to keep their country in order.  Second the US and UK both back any country that is pro-west/democracy, which Georgia has led the ex-soviet nations in true, uncorrupted democracy.
