They tried a couple of times but the crowd didn't buy it and Punk wasn't great as a heel so he became a face again.Anyways,there is a huge difference between WWE fans and ROH fans.There's also a huge difference in everything else.The WWE and everything in it is so much bigger,better,faster,brighter,and there's way more pressure on you.There's a difference between performing for 50 to 500 people and 15,000 to 75,000 people.There's a huge difference between ROH and WWE.Also there's also a huge difference between an indy show and a national televised worldwide live broadcast show.What is good in the indys and sounds and is good to 500 people isn't mostly good or sounds good to 50,000 people and millions worldwide.SummerSlam,the Wrestling God becomes the World Heavyweight Champion.The celebration will be phenomenal,incredible,amazing,one of a kind.Everybody will be chanting his name JBL,JBL,JBL,JBL,JBL...

WWE arent using him right! In ROH the guy was awesome! His mic skills were off the chain..he needs to go heel!

Honestly, the guy was amazing. His original finisher was a pedigree of the turnbuckle. WWE doesn't let him use what he is capable of.

They did TRY to turn C.M. Punk heel once around the time of the ECW New Breed,but it failed humiliatingly,so they IMMEDIATELY turned him babyface just weeks later.So after a failed experimement i don't think the WWE are going to give Punk going heel a second try in my opinion. But if i remember correctly Punk's WWE heel turn didn't go over wel with the crowd,which would MOST likely explain the quick change back.

i never watched ROH, but being a big WWE CM Punk fan, i looked up some ROH stuff and some of the things he said we simply hilarious. he's one of those heels you love to hate.
