Why have CO2 concentrations increased in the last decade, yet the average global temperature has not.?

This wouldn't make sense if the Global Warming fearmongers are correct about man-made global warming.

  1. The real question is,  Why are the "temps increasing at the same rate as the did between 1910 and 1940" if our emissions are far greater today?  Doesnt that kind of indicate that even a 50% reduction in emissions would still cause us to emit as much as we did back then when it was warming just as fast?

  2. that's interesting because why is the 5 year average going up.

  3. In what alternate reality aren't the temps going up?, they have and it's happening faster, things that scientists were expecting to happen 20 and 30 years from now are happening now, so it's not only getting worse, it's getting worse faster.

  4. You are right.  What other graphs are doing is showing average temperatures over many years in an attempt to mislead the public.  Here is a year by year graph.  They do not show much change do they?

  5. As you can see, true believers are not interested in the whole story.  Most reseachers found that there hasn't been any warming since 1998, but believers already know that the earth is warming so any studies or data that show that it might not be warming must be wrong.

The limitation of measuring temperature with satelites is that they don't measure temperature directly like a thermometer.  They measure radiation and the data needs to be processed to derive a temperature and what temperature the researchers calculate depends on what assumptions the researchers make.  There is plenty of scope for allowing personal opinions to distort findings.

There is only one researcher who's claimed that 1998 was not the warmest year, Jim Hansen who is somewhat alarmist and is on record with beliefs that exceed what the IPCC considers likely.  He's also just one person with one opinion in a very large field.  Why has he suddenly become the ultra-profit who knows that every other researcher is wrong.

  6. Temperatures ARE going up:

Are these organizations fearmongers?  They all say global warming is real, and mostly caused by us.

The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Meteorological Association, etc.

  7. You are totally wrong in your assumptions. Stop trying to spread untrue imformation as truth. You may like to remain ignorant on the facts, but the rest of the world has moved on to accept the FACT of AGW !

  8. Here's the trend for the past decade:

  9. not sure which exxon funded website your pulling your data from - but according to the NOAA and NASA, temperatures have been going up over the last decade.

  10. This is a crack up. You have obviously tried really hard to appear informed but you should of tried google instead. I typed into google "average global temperature of the last decade" and here are some of the cut and pastes and also the web sites. You should try it. You should also post some links to the sites where you get your information because I think it is wrong.

  11. Believe it or not, jet fuel is the answer.  The pollution caused by airplanes flying in the sky actually reflects quite a bit of sunlight away from the Earth, therefor reducing heat.

Here's the scary part,it took 9/11 to find this out.  During 9/11 all commercial aircraft were grounded for three days. Researchers saw avg. temperature rise dramatically on those days, reason, no pollution to reflect sunlight.  Once commercial carriers went back into the air, the temperature decreased.

So strangely, Global Warming and Global Cooling are both man-made. And Ironically, it is our pollution that is actually cooling the earth from the pollution that is warming it up.

  12. You are absolutely correct. CO2 concentrations are going up while the hottest year on record is still 1998. There has been no significant increase in temperature in nearly 10 years. That is a FACT. For a good laugh, just sit back and listen to the believers here.trying to spin this fact. LOL

    pathetic

  13. I'm afraid you've quoted your sources incorrectly. The standard denier claim is that "it hasn't warmed since 1998," not that it hasn't warmed in the last decade.

The difference is important: you MUST start in 1998, because that was a year with a huge El Niño, which caused temperatures to spike up sharply in that year.

If it were REALLY true that it hasn't warmed "in the last decade", then it would also be true that it hasn't warmed since 1999 (false), or it hasn't warmed since 2000 (false), or that it hasn't warmed since 2001 (false), or ... well, you get the idea.

Please get your lies straight before you spread them. Otherwise, you'll look like a liar.
