  1. Because rich people by definition earn more then they can spend, so they end up saving, and eventually invest their savings.

  2. I don't consider myself rich, but have much of my wealth invested in the market.

I think ppl who use that term are ignorant.

  3. It's quit simple....

They are rich because they invest and they invest to stay wealthy. They invest in assets that grow. Most every one else invest in dead assets or liabilities.

  4. Because the richest 10% of the country own something like 80% of all the stock.

The richest 10% own 50% of EVERYTHING in this country. The have 50% of all the wealth, all the money, all the property, and all the investments.

And the rest of the other 50% owned by the other 90% is still more concentrated at the top.

And the difference in what the "Haves and have nots"  have is getting worse, much worse in this last decade.

  5. the reason for the nomer, is that "rich" or "Upper" class people tend to have more disposal income than the rest of the population.  The only thing that they can do with this excess is to invest it.  While it is true that a lot of other people do invest there money.  On a per capita basis, the upper class will all ways have a bigger % of there population as investors.

Also if you are middle class you may have a couple 100k invested by the time you are in your 30's.  Rich/Upper class will have millions invested by then.  All a question of number of $$
