Why have Republicans led in Pork Barrel spending under the Democrat led Congress?

No matter what elected officials say, pork or earmarks, whichever term one chooses to use...is the lifeblood of congress. If it weren't for pork, what would elected officials have to show their constituents back home? Anyway, today's republicans are not like republicans of old. The more they get to spend, the better.

Yet none of the aforementioned were the people running for President or Vice President.  In fact these two have fought Pork Barrel Spending.  These two have been the one who have brought people in their own party down for corruption.  I trust them more then Obama and Biden whose party let those Republicans get away with Pork Barrel Spending.
