We have lots of other jasmines in the garden planted over the years and no problems. The new ones were fine until last week.

  1. The winter jasmine should be in full growth by now, in fact it's nearly time for pruning. Could be anything. Check for pests on the remaining foliage, and have a look at the roots maybe some cut worms or something down there. It doesn't bode well with borh of your plants becoming defoliated. If there is no growth emerging from the stems cut them back to about 1' from ground level.

If nothing happens, it's a trip to the garden center.

  2. My gut feel is that it's had some shock, maybe too much heat or water.  That is unless there is any sign of predators eating it.    It should be growing during the summer period,  so that it can flower on the new growth the following winter time.  Depending on where you're located, and you don't think it was an excess of water - and it's within its growing season, I would feed it,  to encourage it to resprout.  The new shoots should have their own fresh leaves.

Hope this helps.  Good luck!  Rob
