Bad Luck.... I suppose the other's just went ahead and built it.....you should'nt have asked pemission.

Only need planning if it is over a certain size or if the wall you use is of a certain height

How large is it? It must be massive, for someone to report you to the planners....

I had to apply as well, if you have built an extension shed or any building which takes it over so much of the size of the house.they told me we needed planning permission for our conservatory, but we didn't need building regulations, because they are mainly glass. i know it do not make sence!
