Why have i still not had my blood test results back?

I had my blood tested almost 4 weeks ago now for blood group, antibodies, rubella,hepatitis b,, syphilis and HIV. ive still not been contacted about the results. is it cos theyre testing for so much?

how would I know? I don't work for the place.  Did it ever cross your mind to call the testing center and ask them what the hold up is?

There is a long list of test to be preformed, and say you just got one out of the blue it probably went to the back of the line, compared to people who need blood tests ASAP.

yes plus they have to do this for countless others i had cancer and they took blood every morning and it took a while to get back even then.

hey hun, give them a call to find out if they have the results back yet or not. i'd say they should have the results back by now.

If there were anything wrong you would've heard by now. To alleviate your fears you could call the Dr.'s office and ask them to see what the hold-up is. Every office is different. Some will send you a letter telling you you're ok and some will not contact you unless something is wrong...it depends.

Call them. you should know something by now. If not all of them at least one of them. Call the doctor's office and ask for the results and if they don't have them ask when they expect to have them.

It is scary but you can do it-just give them a call. It's better to know now than not to know at all.

I would call them. Most test at most take 2 weeks to come back or sooner.

I doubt that they are still testing. I had mines done in late july, they dont call if anythings wrong. They usually call to tell you if you have a infection or something. Lol stop worring im pretty sure your all healthy!

Ruby: You can be sure you didn't test positive on any of those. No doctor will see a positive result and not call, they can get sued for malpractice if they don't contact you immediately. Those tests will all come back in no more than TWO weeks, even less, my blood tests came back in a week from my private doctor, I don't go to a clinic...clinics have so many patients it may take up to two weeks. Doctor's on the other hand DON'Tt call when things are negative!!!! They are too busy to do that! Relax, you don't have anything. I know everyone told you to call, which is not a bad idea just to put closure on this, but it isn't necessary.
