Are the Pens shooting up with Estrogen before the games??!??! WTF

I honestly blame Malkin for the loss tonight. Lets take him out and put Georges Laraque in haha. He can't seem to stay focused and has done nothing against Detroit.... 5 on 3 and did nothing!?!?!?. It made me sick to see them play tonight I was really disappointed in Malkin. Anyone else want to shed some light on why they think they lost? We still have a chance though! Go Pens!

  1. malkin deserves most of the blame. i think he's choking and it's ridiculous. and i the only one noticing that all the pens do is dump the puck into the wings zone and then chase after the wings? they need to set their offense and cycle the puck, then they'll score.

  2. Ill tell you why and this is unbiased, The Wings were head and shoulders better, they got back their game they had in 1 and 2 see everyone thought because The Pens were home they would take 2 straight and than show up the Wings because in games 1 and 2 they didn't give their all, I THINK THEY DID give their all its just The Wings are better, I am a wings fan 100% but if we lost i would be the 1st to say Pens where better because thats how I am, but flat out Wings had the Stamina and want it more The Pens will do great in the future i grantee that but not aganist this team of Wings.

  3. The Red Wings did what they do best: puck possession.  They denied the Penguins the ability to make great chances, and when they did, Osgood was there to stop it.  Malkin was once again a non factor, and the Penguins powerplay was only able to score once.

  4. Ill go with the good the bad and the ugly:

    Good:

    Dupuis

    Fleury

    Crosby

    Hossa

    Staal

    Roberts

    Kennedy

    Gonchar

    Orpik

    Whitney

    Hall

    Talbot

    Bad:

    Scuderi

    Gill

    Pens PP

    Ugly:

Referees missing calls on both sides

Malkin (he showed NO desire to even give any effort out there, honestly this is the worst i've ever seen him play)

Sydor (should be scratched for Letang)

Pens Coaching, for the 4th straight game was HORRIBLE!

Very ashamed that i wore my Malkin T-shirt today, maybe i'll retire it.

GO PENS! TIME FOR A HUGE COMEBACK!

  5. there not the wings.

  6. 1. Malkin is playing awful. Not just offensively but in every part of the game. Backchecking was weak, bad choices on when to change, etc.

    2. Crosby didn't get enough playing time (6 min in 1st period)

    3. Fleury played a pretty good game but that 2nd goal was pretty bad. He wasnt screened and let that backhand in just cause he wasn't on the post.

I'd love to see then pens come back but im just not sure its gonna happen 2 times in detroit

  7. i was very upset they lost 2 =( they should have been able to score on that 5-3.

  8. It's the horrid memory of the pink tie.

The Wings have  been dominate and the Pens are just not as experienced. I'm betting the pens will gain good experience just from making it this far.  It worked for the Ducks.

  9. i think it was our luck

i dont know but i dont want to blame it on a player

    2 sad

    go pens and crosby

  10. you lost because you are playing a better TEAM ///all you talk about is SID THE KID   detroit can and does take about the TEAM///a TEAM will beat one player all the time

    .

  11. Malkin shouldn't take all the blame, but he deserves a good bit. That whole line deserves a lot of it...That line is POINTLESS all series long. Also, as a team, our defense (besides the Orpik/ Gonchar pairing, which has been one of the few bright spots) needs serious help, especially around the net. We couldn't clear the puck. All in all, I thought the game was well played both ways, but the Pens had some obvious holes.

  12. Because the Pens SUCK, and they won't win the Stanley Cup. Detroit deserves to win, get over it, the Penguins need to waddle home.

  13. i wouldn't put all the blame on Malkin although, clearly he's struggling.  I would put put the blame on the coach for playing him as much as he has been.  As hard as it is to say, Detroit is just that good, thats why they're up 3-1.

  14. They were outplayed and outshot, outscored and outcoached.

  15. You can't blame any one single player. The whole team got outplayed by a better veteran team. The Wings were able to make adjustments from the last game. In my opinion the Pens just escaped w/ a win in game 3. Not this time. The 5-on-3 was the killer. The Wings played AMAZING D on that.

  16. They were craving Arby's

  17. I would not blame the loss on just one player.  Yes, Malkin has been saying he is tired, and he has not done much of anything, but he is only one person.  The entire Pens team is getting beat by the Red Wings team.  It is a team sport and the Red Wings are doing just that instead of just relying on just a few good players.  With the Red Wings, you never know who will score the next goal, or make the next big play.

  18. They lost because Detroit willed them to lose.  Just like they won game 3 because Detroit let them win.

Who wants to win the cup on the road?  It's terrible.

  19. because the red wings outplayed them and there is no chance, they're done

  20. after the wings killed the 5 on 3 it took the life from them... a team with as much talent as the pens shouldve got a goal there.. i am a wings fan.. and i will say that u can tell that the pens lost their composure after the lindstrom goal... the pens were playing up tight.. and the wings kept their cool... remember these kids havent been here yet.. they will learn though

  21. Their defense is awful.  Has been most of the playoffs... they always seem to be scrambling out there.  They're just finally facing an offense good enough to make them pay for it.  (Though only letting up 2 goals is pretty good... even though the 2nd goal could have been stopped.)

Plus, Detroit is just incredible right now... there's no team in the league that I think would have a legitimate shot at beating them in a 7 game series.

  22. they lost cause the wings won...? lol

  23. NUTIN IS WRONG

    DETROIT RULES THATS ALL

  24. I love watching the Wings and their triangle defense on a 5-on-3. The Pens didn't register a shot during that 1:26 two man advantage. Crosby was petulant about Zetterberg knocking his stick off the puck at the side of the net.

Would the Pens dare send three defenders to the deep blue line as a 5-on-3 unit tried to regroup? The Wings completely baffled them. Therrien had to call a time out to explain "Hey, we've got two more skaters than they do."

Malkin has already complained he's been exhausted since the Philly series, so why not Laraque? I'm sure the Wings would love the extra power plays.

Penguins Bias: How can you put Orpik on your list when he was knocked down and undressed by wee Darren Helm, who sent the puck to Hudler for the winning goal? If I was Orpik, I'd wear a disguise out of the building tonight. Therrien pretty much benched Orpik after he was on the ice for both of Detroit's goals. Yes, minus 2, no shots, no assists, nothing. Less than 17 minutes of ice time. I just checked the stats on Wednesday's game, the 3-2 Pens' win. Orpik had 23:27 of ice time. That is telling.

  25. fluery is not as good as osgood.

the pens as a whole have no chance. they are getting schooled, and will be a better team next season because of this.

  26. The Pens lost tonight because the Wings overcame the home ice advantage edge that carried the way last week.  patriot had a very valid point though, for all the hype Crosby gets, and game 3 started showing us a bit of why, he played less than a third of the first period?  I'll take a little age and experience over youth and enthusiasm most times, the Wings have seen it all and done it all, and have the ability to regroup more quickly because of it. Give the Pens some seasoning, and they will be a force to be reckoned with, but this doesnt seem to be the year for it.

  27. You cant blame one person ...its a team sport a team game.  We played good.  The Pens failed to score on 5 on 3 and that was it.  The effort was there.  The result was not.  I am die hard Pens fan, season ticket holder since years before Crosby.  This was my payoff year.  Awesome year.  But Detriot is an awesome team hands down.  The have better puck control and have kept us at bay.  Good series.  If we lose we have many great years ahead of us.  I think we will win the next 2......
