  1. Most older varieties of Hydrangeas bloom on what is called "Old Wood"...that is, stems that grew last year.  There are two reasons that they have not bloomed this year.  Either it was pruned at the wrong time or there was a late frost in your area that killed off the buds that would have formed into flowers.

There are new varieties of Hydrangeas that bloom on both old and new wood. The most popular are "Endless Summer" and "Forever and Ever"

  2. I have had a lot of difficulty growing Hydrangeas! I grow a lot of flowers and vegetables and I live in southern NY but I have had no success with them haven tried to grow them two years. Maybe its because its too cold here? Good Luck!

  3. Hydrangeas are late flowering, mine are just showing buds

  4. depends where you live, mine are budding, but friends in the south are in full bloom
