Why have people become so paralyzed by political correctness?

Don't you think this country is extremely hypocritical, concerning it's values, contradicting with it's actions? Freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of faith... yes, but not for all. But hasn't it always been this way, towards one group of people or another?

  1. Yes.

Libs are incapable of allowing free speech that they disagree with.

It's caused this divisive and hateful response from them.

  2. Yes but it is all magnified by the left with liberal socialist bias media. They are always looking for an infraction to blow out of proportion.

  3. Fear of being called a "dirty word".   It's amazing to me that in this country, one (even a Presidential candidate)can freely denigrate and insult Southerners, Christians, Jews, Caucasians, gun owners Indians, to name a few, but other groups like Blacks and Muslims are viciously protected.   It has gotten to the ridiculous point here where if police are searching for a murder or rape suspect, the media won't even include race (unless he is white) for fear of being labeled "racist".

  4. PC is killing this country. The smart American pays it no d**n mind at all!

  5. Yes, I do! I think people should put it out there- no PC! I would much rather know up front where I stand with people than to have them be polite and PC in my presence, only to refer to me with the n-word behind my back. Be yourself is what I say! If ya got hate in your heart, let it out- I want to know what kind of person (or people) I'm dealing with at all times, so that I can immediately decide whether or not I want to continue dealing with them in the future. It's only fair to myself and that person- I don't like superficial relationships.

  6. Because it's all about control.  What better way to shut people up then to accuse them of being anti-this, anti-that and also racists? How many times have you had to defend your views because some control freak falsely called or referred to you as something that you're not?  That's the liberal way of controlling the populace.

  7. hidden behind every movement, and every new point of political correctness, there is someone or a group of people making money off of enforcing their ideology no matter how trivial.

Every "non profit" group of significant size and political weight will have paid staff and "consultants". I find it hard to believe so many people give a ****, for FREE

  8. Racism works in many directions and not in only one direction as some would want you to believe.

  9. Because some are afraid of being labeled a "racist" or "sexist" or other labels like "religious zealot".

  10. Your rights end where PCism begins

And I agree that PCism has been foisted upon us by agenda

This is to differentiate the rules of a "polite society" from the old days when peeps had a better vocabulary and could express their views even if they were derogatory.

At least they were honest which is what PCism prevents.

I had asked a question about the three 'original race classification and had ******* x'd out-[n-e-g-r-o-i-d]

So its on the net to not just in our everyday life

  11. Yes, political correctness is a way that minorities tell white people to "STFU" and it's totally wrong. Political Correctness is a part of reverse racism. When was the last time anyone heard people referring to a white person as European American?

  12. I don't see anyone keeping their mouths shut over anything.  We have to listen to people's private phone conversations and watch them flip each other off (and more) over the least perceived slight.  We have to listen to their demented, ignorant rantings on subjects of which they have absolutely no knowledge.

I don't see any discrimination in our freedom of expression, speech or faith.
