I went to visit my family in Missouri last April and one of the first places i wanted to go was grandy's and alot of them have closed! We used to go there every year as a kid (in the summers) Their hot rolls are delicious, and i love the way the food is like proper food but "fast food"!

  1. SORRY, but with the overhead cost's and the dietry needs of people changing,

  2. A lot of it is demographic changes. As the population changes, the desire for certain foods do too. There used to be a Grandy's near to an old office of mine in west Houston. They had good "fast" food and great rolls. My department used to go there at least once a week.

That was the late 80s/early 90s. The neighborhood is now predominantly hispanic with a strong Korean undertone. The old Grandy's restaurant is now a taqueria. In fact, there are no longer any Grandy's in the Houston area due to a lot of the demographics changing. Most are in "whiter" North Texas. In addition, people's taste changes. While I used to love their double chicken fried steak platter, my current "go out for lunch" is Indian or Mediterranean food.

  3. They are just not as popular anymore. Sorry.

  4. The one I used to go to in Wichita Falls, Texas closed down a long time ago. Like 10 years ago!   I used to love their homemade cinnamon rolls, and the fried chicken was really good.

  5. lol lol lol Duke. i never heard of that one before. maybe it's only in Missouri (IL here).

  6. WTF is GRANDY?

  7. Never heard of Grandy's, I dont think they have them in the UK. (your question crossed over to the UK answers)

Maybe business is not as good as it used to be.
