Why have sports writers turned on manny?

ever since the trade, sports writers and boston fans have been trashing him, but not more than a month a go everyone couldn't say a bad thing about him and loved all the silly things he did on the field. so why did the all of sudden turn on him?

Manny doesn't know his place. You don't tell your team to trade you or you won't play. No matter who you are

the truth is that there is a rumor that he was faking injuries to get out of a contract with the red socks. Most sport writers love the game, manny loves money and fame. baseball to manny is just a way for him to be rich and famous. he is a good player, but he causes way too much drama

He said some things he should not have said. The Manny situation is identical to the Jeff Kent situation when he left the Giants. Kent couldn't keep his mouth shut, and now Bay Area fans including myself can not stand him. I personally tend to like classy players, and Manny is not one. I didn't like him when he was in Boston.

ok, how long has manny been involved in trade talks even before all this? how about every year at the trade deadline. manny is a great player and the red sox are making up excuses so that they dont get repremanded for     trading him for no reason. and how can they say they dont know if he was gonna play well and try, the guy batted .299 in the last 7 games with boston before the trade. so this is all garbage.

I can say that for sure Manny should not to be blamed all by himself. Ramirez  was sulking in the clubhouse. He made bonehead mistakes in the outfield and the camera would show him laughing at himself but noone else was laughing. Teammates, 2 friends of his Julio Lugo, and David Ortiz were the only ones that cared about him. Terry Francona the manager was eager to get him out of thier. For the Boston Globe sports writers, they think now he is playing harder the way he should have been in Boston. I think when Manny asked Redsox owners for a guarntee and contract assurance as a Boston Redsox they should have have said something to encourage him. But the owners refused to discuss his Redsox future. So he started sulking, Taking games off,,faking a knee injury and not trying..Here the Boston Red Sox are in a pennant race and the owners refuse to talk with thier best hitter? I know baseball and players no matter how good they are get traded all the time. The fans are just reacting to Manny about whatever they read. They read that Manny had become a Bum in the clubhouse and that his own team mates were fed up and being  distracted and bothered by it all. I'm not like them. I liked Manny. He was my Man the Man. Besides he is a family man just like everybody else. He plays baseball and the Boston sports page can't get over him.

b/c they had all this c**p on manny but as long as he was doing good he  was doing good on the field they werent going to let it out but then he was trying to sit so boston would drop there options and they got rid of him
