  1. They were different in the Christian world... They stood out . So they were and still are persecuted.

  2. if I'm not mistaken it is because they hated Jesus back in the day

  3. Jewish people, like any other people in the world, had or have supporters and enemies. Sometimes we only hear about the people who hate Jewish people - they are called anti-semites - but we never hear much about people who love and support the Jewish people - philo-semites.

A historical case in point: in Germany after World War I arose a Fascist political movement called the n***s (National Socialists) headed by Adolph Hitler. This group was very anti-Jewish and wanted to destroy all the Jews in Europe. Hitler was using the Jews as  SCAPEGOATS  for all the problems Germany was suffering from: hyper-inflation, depression, high unemployment, crime, etc. He told the German people it was the fault of the Jews. A scapegoat is an innocent animal the ancients used to sacrifice to the gods (or God) to attone for their sins. The ancients would pray to their god and say, I am killing this animal and burning it to take away all the sins and wrong things I have over the past year. Like the animal sacrifice, the Jews were just an innocent minority, helpless to defend themselves, in Germany, which had a long history of anti-semitism.

When the n**i Germans invaded the country of Denmark, what did the Danish people do? Hundreds of Danes smuggled nearly every Jew out of Denmark at night in  little boats across to Sweden -- and to safety. This was one of many acts of philo-semitism that demonstrates a people showing love and respect for Jewish people. Not knowing this, when the n**i invasion of Denmark was complete, the n***s demanded all the Jews identify themselves by wearing a large yellow "Star Of David". The next day, the King and Queen of Denmark appeared in front of their palace wearing the star. Thousands of people ran home and also pinned a star on their clothes. Ultimately, brave little Denmark managed to save it's entire Jewish Community.

One more point: the n***s hated other groups too - not only the Jews - such as the Gypsies, the homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, the handicapped, and others. When you read of Jews being hated, they are usually among one or more other groups that are despised.

Throughout history there were times the Jews were appreciated and supported. In parts of Europe they had problems because many European kingdoms had a state religion: Christianity ... and the Jews refused to become Christians. All non-Christians in Spain, for example, were given the choice of converting to Christianity, leaving the country, or being killed. Hundreds of thousands of Jews left Spain and went to other countries where they were welcomed. They are called the Sephardim.

Whenever you read of HATRED - bigotry, racism, anti-semitism, whatever - it is usually enforced by bad people and tyrants and supported by ignorant followers. The victims should never be blamed to whatever happended to them. The Africans enslaved in the Americas were not to blame for their enslavement. The Armenians must not be blamed for the terrible Armenian Genocide committed by the Turks around 1915. The torture, rape, and killing of hundreds of thousands of Chinese during the Japanese occupation (especially "The Rape Of Nanking") should not be blamed on the innocent Chinese.

Good question! Now do you understand???

  4. they have a tumultous history.....and I think that before hitler they were far more respeced members of german society....although german society might have had anti semitic undercurrents before that.... Hitler made it a lot worse....the other political conflicts they have been in like Israel and Palestine are unfortunate and less to do with being Jewish and more to do with claming that God had given them land in Israel and basically just invading it, they argued they should be GIVEN this land and it should be taken out of the hands of locals, after the holocaust, as a way of giving them somewhere to settle as many felt they could not return to germany even after hitler died....the United Nations agreed and they were given the land, but the Israelis who were already living there and were Muslim were not happy....understandably....so civil war followed...they just have a messy history and seem to attract antagonism...it think the unjustified hatred is down in part to their history (hatred based on history is unjustifued in my view) rather than any notion of "Jewishness" .......they guy who said that Christians are the cause of this hatred is actually incorrect becuase the no.1 source of hatred for Jews is muslims in Iraq and Palestine...and that is political and not based on religious differences.
