MELBOURNE'S Nathan Carroll will miss the opening two NAB Cup games after being suspended by the club's leading players.

He was stood down for "a lack of professionalism in preparation for the 2008 season", the club said.

The ban was imposed by the leadership group — David Neitz, Adem Yze, Russell Robertson, James McDonald, Cameron Bruce, Brad Miller and Brock McLean.

Lack of professionalism???? I'd like to know the real reason!

  1. Yes.

He was suspended because he wants a clearance to the Magpies. He started his pre-season training by getting drunk & fighting - like the Pies players do each season.

  2. Yes, I know.

He was suspended displaying an attitude of - lack of professionalism (don't these AFL clubs try & confuse the public with the jargon they use for drunk & disorderly?).

  3. Thjey suspended him for fighting.

Not so much the fighting bit - but he got caught doing it. The club couldn't cover up for him - like most times.

  4. He was suspended for imitating Collingwood players. He got drunk and got into fights during an end of season overseas trip.

  5. This could be part of the reason, but that's all i've heard or read about it.

end-of-season trip Carroll got in a fight with Swiss tourists at a nightclub in the Greek Islands. abit over a week later, the Demons confirmed Carroll had been in a scuffle in Munich at the German Oktoberfest.

  6. all i know is thet he and a couple of team mates got into a bawl on there end pf season trip
