Question:

Why have the U.S. lost interest in Osama bin Laden?

He is the leader of the organization that attacked the United States of America on September 11.

We gave up on searching for him, or not trying hard enough. And some people think that it was Iraq that attacked us.

  1. Republicans want Osama Bin Laden free so that they can continue their politics of fear in the USA.

  2. We didn't, we still hunt him and if they ever get a fix on him, the Predators will give him a hellfire send off.

  3. Well, Bush figured he was on a roll toppling governments he didn't like, and went on after Iraq after lying to America and the world about why.

That little distraction left the military and intelligence organizations busy doing political work for Bush, rather than actually getting the real enemies of the state and international killers.

  4. We are still looking for him.

However we are applying the principles of strategy here and only allocating minimal resources to hunting down a man whose death or capture would have no strategic effect.

In fact having OBL hiding from us is much better for us than killing him.

Hiding makes him be seen as a coward.  Killing him would make him a martyar.

  5. Nobody with an IQ above 90 thinks Iraq attacked us on 9/11.  As far as the search for Osama goes, we aren't privy to the day to day details of the search for him.  There are indeed covert teams still hunting for him.  If you expect a daily update from Katie Couric that's not going to happen.

  6. The U.S. was never looking for Osama Bin laden to begin with. Bush needed a smoke screen and a reason to invade Iraq and sadly he used lies about Iraq possessing WMD's and the 9-11  attacks provided the perfect alibi to invade Iraq !

The Republicans used the terror threat scare tactic to pre occupy us while they invaded Iraq !
