...family in the past week than there have been about Obama's political history, his ties to the TUCC, William Ayers, Renske, his drug use (i.e. cocaine), etc. in the last 19 months?

Does this seem like fair and objective journalism to you?

  1. the media is always hunting for stories to fill their time gaps, i feel that they got more aggressive once her speech was given on account that is was delivered well but had a lot of 1 line sarcasm and personal low blow attacks in it, when you do that you bring attention to yourself, what i am sure her party wanted to do, however with the media that usually comes with a price... as far as bringing her family into it any person with half a brain knows that wrong but at first she put them all out there todry, i'm sure in the future it will eventually become more private for them, try to ignore what the media does, they try their best to stir up a hrnet's nest, they do that even against Obama with the church business and whatever they can make a story out of..... past history shows that over the past 50 years the republican party has tried to intimidate the press and the press remembers that and they get stubborn themselves and say you can not suppress us, thus the fight wages on....politic is ugly, we all know that, i'll be glad when it's all over

  2. typical partisan politics is the answer.  discredit anyone not from your camp.  she's new, she's unknown, and she's dangerous to the democratic party.  the answer? bury her and her family.

i don't want to see this continue any more than i want to see obama get trashed via his family.  why not support a true discussion of issues and positions and keep the nonsense out of it?

  3. The media has been covering Obama for a year and a half. otherwise you wouldn't already have the info you have or think you do.  Do you honestly think you are the only one who has read about these issues?

Palin has been on the national scene for 6.5 days. Therefore the media has to cover a lot of ground in a very short period of time. So, yes we will be getting all Palin all the time for at least another week.

Then as the news cycle moves on and we collectively think we know everything there is to know about Palin then other news will hold sway.

Besides, McCain did pick a relative stranger (to the national scene) to be VP. If there is a skeleton in her closet wouldn't you want to know before you cast your vote?

Or would you rather that we simply blindly agree with her pick just because McCain (or any other politician for that matter) tells us to trust her without investigation?

Isn't that the definition of being sheep?

Like them or not (and nobody of any political stripe does all the time) the job of the press is to ask all of the embarrassing and difficult questions there are in order to give us the electorate the information we need to make informed decisions. Are they perfect all the time?....No, is it the best we have?....yep

I am not saying that Palin has a skeleton, but if she does, I hope the press find before the first tuesday in November

  4. Palin is a curiosity much like Ripley's Believe or Not.  The world will pay money to see a freak.

  5. The media doesn't want to cut on the appointed one's message.

Does anyone hate the fact that the Obama Campaign tries to use the misfortunes of Americans at times stretching the truth.... that's sick.

  6. you are only fooling yourself when you ask that question.

  7. Its about to come crashing down on Obama. The people are slowly starting to actually question him and this lawsuit over his citizenship sure will not help him true or not.
