We've had Katrina, severe tornados, floods and other natural disasters. What kind of impact has this had on the economy?

  1. If we just would sign on too Kyoto all this would go away

  2. Well, we can't blame natural disasters on Bush (in answer to your first question), that's just unfair. As you wrote, they are NATURAL disasters, and therefore have nothing to do with anything that any species produce. Natural disasters are, as they suggest, natural and uncausable.

As for regarding the economy, several resources had to be spent on rescuing, feeding, and supplying the survivors of the disasters. Things aren't going to get there for free, especially with the severe increase in fuel prices. The economy suffered quite a bit.

  3. Somehow I don't think he had any say in any of those. I can just hear it now Katrina get in there and don't come back until you have wiped 10,000 homes. I want mass flooding from you and I expect nothing less. I need an excuse to print a large amount of money. Which in turn will hike up the taxes. I need total disorginization and chaos to make this all happen.

He can barely speak politcally correct, do you really think he has control over mother nature?

  4. becasue he hasnt done jack to help the environment and its backfiring. we dnt like him and neither does our planet (:

  5. Natural disasters has nothing to do with the President than it does with you or me.  Natural disasters have been occurring worldwide since the earth was formed and will continue to happen.  It obviously has a tremendous impact on the economy as there was a lot of damage, lost homes, lost lives, medical emergencies totaling millions of dollars.  It is very hard to deal with, but much harder when people fight and argue about it, instead of pulling themselves up by the bootstraps and working together.

  6. Natural disasters are just that natural disasters. I hope you are not trying to blame Bush on those too. The impact of natural disasters is tremendous and of course it affects the economy. How can it not. All that has to be taken into account, but many people just want to blame others and Bush for the lousy economy instead of looking at the whole picture. Thank you for seeing this.

  7. While Bush can successfully be blamed for a lot of bad stuff we cannot blame him for ACTS OF GOD!

Even if he had of put enviromental issues on the front burner - it still would not have been enough time to re-do the damage we have done. And certainly not enough time to have done a thing about Katrina.

  8. .I am not voting for Bush and never did. But the idea that Bush is the cause of the natural disasters, would be giving him credit for being more powerful than he is. These are acts of God and Gods control of all things natural and unnatural. The last I knew Bush is not God. So, as much as we can blame the economy on him, I am sorry to say he can't be blamed for the weather.

As for the second part of your question: It has indeed impacted our economy. How could it not? On top of the cost of the war, and the loss of jobs, rebuilding, in some cases, whole communities, adds to the deficit.

  9. God only knows.

  10. Pres.Bush has nothing to do with it . It is moral decay. Lack of respect for self,  laws, parents, authority,, all the things that are going on now in this country. Bible says ,God will not strive with man always...........

  11. There is a GOD

  12. Ask Al Gore.
