Hi

I have been using retin-a (0.025%) for a little over 10 weeks now, and have followed all the instructions religiously. During my first few weeks I didn't notice as much worsening or side effects as I thought I would be, but my condition did eventually worsen, and it hasn't gotten any better since. The tube I am using now was given to me a while ago I think, but its expiration date was still good -- I think it was 2010. I have 2 other bottles that were given to me more recently and expire in 2011. I haven't used any other medication since I started retin-a treatment, and I wash my face with plain white Dove beauty bar (20-30 min before application). Any suggestions? Thanks! :)

  1. Not all types of acne medications work on everyone.  This one just probably isn't the brand for you.  Ask your doctor for another brand.  Try differin or maybe even a pill like minocycline or actuane.

  2. Ditch the stuff, it has taken too long and should have worked by now!

I went to my dermatologist and she gave me a copy of this book that she got from a great website on getting rid of pimples and acne and keeping your skin clear.

Me and my girlfriends did as the book said and we started school definitely with clearer skin.

I highly recommend it. Check it out at www.acnetreatmentscamsrevealed.com. The book comes with a personal consultant that you can ask questions to and get the right answers.

    Peace,
