Question:

Why haven't the Yankees released Carl Pavano yet?

He is still on the disabled list and I think I've only seen him pitch once or twice in the 2005 season. Even when he eventually comes off the disabled list, he's just going to be injured again.

  1. They probably have insurance if he doesn't pitch so they are getting most of the money back.

  2. this is the last year of his contact so theyd rather see if he could somehow comeback around september rather then just not try. they want at least some return on that horrid 40 millon dollar investment. either way hes off the books after this year and hes career is probably done

  3. this is the last year of his contract

  4. because they want to get something from him not just get nothing and still owe him money... he is also going to pitch for the Yankees Single A the riverdogs, Phil Hughes is going to pitch the same game also

  5. Well this his last year of his contract

  6. He's supposedly working his way back. When he does, I hope they trade him before he does get injured again. If not, his contract will expire. (That's probably going to happen first anyway)
