i heard that the key to time travel is to basically, on a graph, have the function make a circle. i know that is impossible but it actually sounded feasible.

  1. We haven't learned it because we aren't supposed to.  Figuring out how to time travel would totally and completely ruin life as we know it.. and personally, I like life now being predictable as it is.

  2. I'm amazed by the number of bad/flippant answers you've gotten so far... at any rate, the main reason is that we can't bend spacetime as easily as we can manipulate a function on a graph.  Need to bend the function into a circle?  Sounds great, in theory.  In practice, a number of theories predict that it would take ridiculous amounts of energy to accomplish such a thing (think black hole-scale), and a number of other theories predict that the very laws of physics prevent such extreme bending.  In short, your point is a good one, but it's a bit like going back to Victorian England and telling the scientists that they could get to Mars just by making one of their cannons bigger and housing a human in the cannonball.

  3. Well you know the millitary uses technology ruffly 15 years more advanced then what us citizens have available....

  4. actually scientists discover that if they had an infinitly long pole wrapped in copper wire spinning, it would create enough energy to cause a rift in the time stream although there would be no way to control it.  there is a conspiracy that einstein was working with the US government to create a teleportation device (which in a sense would be a form of time travel).  there is evidence that government successfully transported an entire naval ship.

  5. It is not that we haven't learned the secret to time travel, but rather the common people aren't aware of it.

  6. Dating younger women works for me.

  7. Well, by definition, a circle CANNOT be a function, since a circle fails both the vertical and horizontal line test.

  8. Don't wait for scientist to invent it. Go figure it out!

  9. Time is relative and is not necessarily someting that can be manipulated

  10. Time travel is theoretically possible

  11. We already have time travel.
