Why high shcool school athletes be subjected to random drug testing?

It is simple...it is just one more way for superiors to have what they think is "complete control". But, unless the parents of these athletes are ok with this, it should never happen. It is against our rights to have such an invasion of privacy, this is America!!! If a student is acting abnormal, or has lased out on another human being...drug testing should never be brought up... and it shouldn't just be athletes, thats discrimination among students.

Unfortunately a lot of people now-a-days, feel like the only way to make it in this world is through athletics and because the competition is so tough that resort to taking steroids and other muscle and energy enhancers.

To make sure they aren't using drugs. Mainly steroids.

What's cool is that if they tested students outside of school without their parents' consent it would be considered 'illegal search and seizure'.
