  2. Horses can be trained to sit! Some horses also naturally do it, for short periods of time.

    Horses have evolved to do most of their sleeping and resting on their feet versus laying  down or sitting. They are very heavy, but their internal organs and bones are very delicate, so laying on their side for long periods of time puts too much pressure on their ribs and organs. Sitting puts too much strain on their haunches/hips/pelvis etc if they do it for a long period of time, so they have just evolved to not do it often ;)

  3. My horse i had as a kid used to sit!!
