  1. Have you filled out the profile section and set it up for PUBLIC?

I normally won't accept anybody as a friend unless they have a profile, there is must be something in common between my friends and I in order to be part of my page or theirs.

See my page for instance:  http://ca.360.yahoo.com/profile-Py7oHZEz...

  2. If you are waiting for friends to come to you, then you'll continue to be disappointed. You will have to be proactive about this. However, this is a bad time to get started, as there is a currently a 360 glitch going around that's delaying people's receipt of invitations.

At the top of your 360 space is a "Search" link. You can find blogs that skew toward what you're looking for there. You can search for people via nickname, keywords, and location. You can search by real name and e-mail addresses only if the person has enabled that option. That page and also your "Home" page lists "Interesting Pages" as well.

Also, click on the Answers categories on the left and go to those sections that interest you. Scope out people answering questions on those topics, then click on their avatar and check out 360 profile, if they have it listed.

If you find anyone you like (anywhere), then click on the "Add" link under their picture on their 360 page and add them as a "Favorite". That's done by NOT selecting the "Invite as a Friend" option upon sending the invitation. They won't receive an invite, but you'll have added them to your Favorite list. You can always take them off your Favorites list (which is private) later. Send them a message and/or leave a comment (if allowed), introduce yourself, get a conversation going, and then see if they would be open to accepting an invitation to become connected friends.

You can do the same by joining Yahoo! Groups. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com , to see where you might want to meet new people. A group to check out is the Y-360 Friends group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Y-360... .

Also, make sure to check out the "friends" of any new friends that you make. They may be cool to invite too.

You should invite people to connect who use the 360 service often. You should be active as well - visit people's pages, post comments, read blogs, send messages, etc.  Good luck!

  3. Ok, well, I saw your user lookup and I saw me, but you need to invite others to join your friends list.  Then, your good then.
