Why i can't play the burnt cd in my car but can play in other audio player?

i can play the cd-r in a normal audio player but not with my car. it is 1996 toyota, not very old.

p.s. how much if i wanna change the car player which can play the burnt cd.

  1. Homeburned CDs don't have as highly reflective a surface as a factory CD.  If it's an older model, your car stereo may not be sophisticated enough to be able to pick up the weaker signal.

    The new ones will play just about anything you can fit into the slot.


  2. not all cd players can play CD-R/RW cd's. your cars cd player is one of them. upgrade to probably ANY newer cd player and it'll probably be able to play em

  3. Hey man. You could be burning the CD in MP3 format, which prolly doesnt support it on your stereo. Try just burning an audio CD instead of a data cd. (you use the 80mins vs the 700Meg ). :D

  4. Either your car can't play burnt cd's or you are making them into mp3 files?
