I had the same problem. 1st.fwhen you go to close Yahoo messenger make sure you see your cell number at the bottom of messenger. if you do see it then go to prefferances and make sure you have the box checked sign into mobile when I leave messenger . when you sign out of messenger it will not close completly lyou should see yahoo sleeping on your desk top. if you want to make sure you are signed into your mobile device then send a sms from your cell to yahoo. in USA send it to 99466 this is spelling yahoo. In your mesg field type the word in then your sign in yahho ID ; example johndoe@yahoo.com then leave a space and type in your pass word. you will get back a sms message saying you have no contacts on line or how many contacts are on line. If you want call one of your contacts ask them to open Yahoo messenger to see if they see you as on sms. I am assuming you mean signing into sms.......NOT GO MOBILE meaning web browser on your cell. If you do not see your cell number at the bottom of Yahoo messenger then you maybe have not registered your mobile device. If bthis is the case ask it here how to register your device as you cannot register it by clicking go mobile. you neeed to go to a specific web page to do this....link..http://sites.mobile.yahoo.com/wireless/m...

do not put in www use the http address then follow the directions
