  1. lol i dont think marriage has any effect on blood calcium levels

  2. Hypocalcemia can have many causes, but the most common cause is hypoparathyroidism. (Note hypo = less, or little) Your parathyroids are tiny glands embedded within your thyroid gland, and they are responsible for monitoring your blood calcium levels. The parathyroid may produce less hormone as a result of infection, surgery or just plain genetics. Here are some other potential reasons for hypocalcemia:

Vitamin D deficiency, Liver or kidney failure, Anticonvulsant use ,

Pancreatitis, pH changes in the blood, Sepsis, Shock , Burns

Magnesium deficiency (often seen in alcoholism), Hyperphosphatemia

Alcoholism (may directly suppress PTH and/or deplete magnesium) , surgery, Post-blood transfusion, cancer, DiGeorge's syndrome (congenital absence of the parathyroid glands) , Polyglandular autoimmune syndrome, Rickets

  3. Calcium doesnt get collected in blood. It is stored in the bones (thats what the bones are made of).
