Why if fantasy football so much more popular than other fantasy sports?

I don't really know. I kinda like fantasy baseball a lot better because it's an even longer season than football, more players to pick from, and most of all, it's everyday. Football I always have to wait till Sunday, but baseball is everyday, some at day and some at night. There is always something going on with baseball.

It's the most intense. Fantasy baseball is a very long season (as is the real deal), and other sports like ftsy golf or hockey don't get much attention.

It's just more exciting because there aren't as many games so when you watch the real games, there's more of an attachment to what is happening live.  In other sports, such as basketball, there are 82 games.  In head to head fantasy basketball you set your line-up at the beginning of the week and that's it.  It's basically averaging scores over the course of the week.  There's no reason to pay attention until the end of the week thus eliminating the emotional aspect of football.  At no point am I going to call up the person who's team I'm playing and say, "Let's go watch the Rockets - Cavs game" because even though he has Yao and I have LeBron it's an accumulated score not an individual score.  Plus, I want to talk trash!  I can't be like, "Kobe is gonna stomp your team 5 out of 7 nights this week!"

I think it's a little easier since the teams play only once a week.  Less homework to check on stats.

I agree with cims...Fantasy Football uses the stats from that particular game while baseball and basketball averages stats over a week long period or has category scoring, like I beat you in rebounds and you beat me in points and so on and so I beat you in 5 out of 9 categories so I win, that's lame,  I found a site called Hotbox Sports, http://www.hotboxsports.com/ they are doing a free commissioner based fantasy basketball game in September I got a newsletter from them explaining a new format which is just like Football, sounds pretty dope, I'm gonna try it, you can go to their site and enter your email...they have a pretty cool splash page...you basically have a choice of picking the night your nba player plays, it's pretty simple really...Go to the site they explain it all in their newsletter.

football only has to sub in players weekly. where as baseball and basketball sub in all year seems like and games mean less

Because most people are lazy and with fantasy football they only have to check once a week unlike baseball, basketball or hockey.

Fantasy football is the bomb! Head to head scoring straight up is the easiest to understand and most exciting.  I checked out the other site, www.hotboxsports.com, and signed up for the newsletter.  It does look pretty cool.

i think it's because most sites are really, really, bag at organizing the other sports.  if they weren't so bag, i might check them out more often, but most are bag.  the website mentioned above sounds not-so-bag.  i'll check it out.
