  1. Yahoo works in mysterious ways.

    The above answer is correct, too -- you can't use a percent sign without taking a risk. Makes math and science questions and answers sort of difficult. Good thinking, Yahoo programmers.

  4. because maybe it"s harder to read that way.  # is used as a pound sign on some electronic devices.It;s the same way when you use + instead of "and". in a sentence.  Just a little harder to read.
