  1. Absolutely wrong. In India we have 15 public holidays, 5 days of official working week but 6 days practically. 9 hours of work day officially but 12 hours working day practically. And productivity is 200%. That is why East or West India is the best. Proud to be an Indian.

  2. u r que is absolutly perfect, in India working days are too lessor in comperision of other developed countries. festivals and religion holydays are declared as public holydays, in US employee choose their holydays and their minimum working days fixed so employee can't enjoy all holydays. In India employees also enjoy non related holydays. like Hindu's enjoy holyday of Idd and Muslims enjoy diwali, holy etc. non related days. so central govt. must have improve working days of employees.

  3. Working days are less may be

But the Working Hours are more you know.

  4. India has more working days than western countries. It has a 6 day work week. While the west has a 40 hour work week(@8 hours /day) the Average work week in India 54 hours(@9hours/day) and even more in the private sector.

The public dept's hardly do any work in their work week though and are very inefficient and need to be streamlined.

If you work out all the public holidays they don't total the 52 days in a year people would be getting an off day, had it been a 5 day work week in India. Indians are working very hard in the private sector. Public holidays are additional to the 2 weekly offs in the west!

  5. bcz... India has several festivals than any other country in the world... and India is a secular country...

    proud to be an INDIAN
