  1. www.thackrey.com

  2. Because RAj Thakeray is under the mistaken impression that by instigating his lumpens to violence, he will get more Marathi votes.  Nothing could be further from the truth. The average Maharashtrian condemns such incidents, it is only political unemployed hoodlums who engage in such acts.  It does not help that the state govt especially RR Patil, Home Minister, is covertly supporting Raj Thackeray - otherwise why do the police remain mute bystanders when they are present at the scene?  Looks like NCP is eyeing a tie up with MNS, at the end of the day all the politicians are dirty as h**l.  Who will compensate the poor hawkers and taxi drivers who suffered ? No one prevents local unemployed Marathi youth from hawking, becoming taxi drivers or watchmen or servants.  They choose not to do so, but resent seeing hardworking non Maharashtrians prosper.  Besides, political extortion is always a more profitable business proposition.

  3. it is just a political gimmick

  4. Politicians for their VOTE BANK use this provincialism

slogan------a dirty trick to foment trouble

  5. I have experienced many things related to north indians ( popularly called as "bhaiyyas" ) in Mumbai and surounding regions.

The old generation of north indians were illiterate but tried learning about customs and various social dos and donts, always aware of local rituals and happenings, tried to fit to those various things related to social fabric and were aware that they are here to earn livinghood. They were friendly, always adopting good things from surroundings and telling people about their traditions back in their villages.

Currently there's lot of influx of north indians. These people do not pay any attention to social fabric, do whatever they wish, there's lot of flouting of social dos and donts, no respect for elders as well as natives of Maharashtra, lots of trash and unhygenic conditions wherever they stay and on the top of this their leaders always spread provocative messages whenever they open mouths. How could this be tolerated by natives? so there are always flash points between the two.

I know India is a democratic country but then the rules apply to each are same. How will north indians feel if their customs are broken in their land? These people must be properly informed about social behaviour and must try learning more, I feel.

  6. It is a move initiated by Raj Thackery to woo Maharashtrain before the next assembly election, which shouyld be strongly condemned.

  7. Sivasena should be banned  and thackeray jailed form spreading nonsense voilence.
