  1. I've always thought it was simply the most visually appeasing angle.

  2. Not quite sure...didn't notice earlier...probably 'appropriate visibility' is the main reason

  3. the crew gets to the set at 9:00 am

coffee at 9:01 until 10:00 am

couple of takes (never on the first time) 9:03, 9:07 aha 9:10 and there you go!!!

  4. I do watch photography and it generally gives good angles to the watch, and like a few answers about it (most of the time) keeps the logo or name visible.  in some instances they will switch it up.  I know have done some photography for Vestal and Rockwell watches, but they have gone with both 10:10 and some at 7:53 or so.

  5. The only rational reason is to make the manufacturer's brand visible and to clearly set apart each of the three hands.

Thus the seconds' hand is pointing at approximately the opposite direction of either the minutes or the hour pointer.

various time combinations are possible for the spread of clock hands depending on the angle upon which the watch is going to be viewed.

the tricky part comes when deciding how to set the time for digital watches when presented in static ad: usually, priority is given to 'curvy' digits like 0,2,5 and 8 - they are preferred  to 'edgy' digits like 4 and 7

  6. The myth is that's the exact moment when Abe Lincoln was shot. The reality is that's the ideal angle on an any watch.
