Why in horror films do people do irrational things?

Like young women in nighties hear a noise and go out into the garden in the middle of the night or when they eventually catch the attacker they knock him to the ground then run upstairs and you know that he is going to get back up again.Whole groups of teenagers are allowed by their parents to go stay in log cabins in the woods....Yea Right!!!

Does anyone know of a real scary movie that is more true to life?

I like to think that it's all scripted...but sometimes, people make bad choices, like picking up a hitchiker, who has a large duffle bag, and is walking on an empty stretch of road that doesn't even have street lights (or lamps) at three o'clock in the morning.

Gangster number 1 is true to life I`ve seen it.

Those movies your talking about are a waste of time.

Books are better than films as you get the fear from your own mind.

It's meant to be dramatic to make it scarrier i guess

Not many are true to life because they wouldn't be as scary to people would they lol

most have ghosts in and zombies or vampires or weird child things coming out of the walls or tvs etc

but movies aren't supposed to be true, supposed to mess with your imagination :)
