Maybe I have watch too much Olympics already but I was wondering that. I figure that for instance when Phelps has more than one race he changes into a dry suit for less weight and drag. But I noticed in some events the men have on the full body suit like the girls wear and in some they don't.

  1. They wear pretty much what they want and whatever is comfortable

So amber you are trying to say that Michael Phelps has to wear what they tell him to wear?? B/S.......If he wanted to wear just trunks, he would wear just trunks........There is NO RULE that says that any particular suit must be worn, YOU ARE WRONG!!!

  2. Dont listen to Lenny D hes totally wrong!!But,  ill try to explain this as best I can. I have worn the full body suit for competition before so I have some experience with these suits. But it is always faster to wear the top part like the girls but the thing with these suits is they just suck right on to your body but when you dive in it looses a little of its suction and the suit will come off your body the tiniest bit but just eneough to allow water to flow down and go in your suit, but this is only with the material which makes these body suits so fast, it will not happen with any other suit. But they dont wear them for butterfly or for breastroke because the way the stroke goes just makes more water go down the suit and it can actually slow you down. Hope I could help : )
