This is mind boggling and a perfect example of how the United States is going to be in such trouble so d**n soon. The F-22 is the worlds best Fighter Jet, it just entered it's Active Service Date this year, and we are planning on selling it to other Allied Nations Already.......

WTF People! Why in the h**l would we do something that stupid, as to give away the Worlds Best Fighter , excuse me,. not give away but sell the fighter to any country what so ever?

We are doing the same thing with the F-35 as well. Why have we become so stupid in the last 20 years when it comes to selling our Military Aircraft, and weapons to other countries?

  1. For money! It always boils down to money. The aircraft compnaies are just trying to recoup the development costs for these aircraft. They have investors to answer to and these people would like to see some return on their money.

It is very doubtfull that thee planes will ever go to a country that would ever use them against the USA. The government would never allow it.

  2. That is indeed a good question.. and one that is being argued right now (as you probably already know)

One reason is because Iran is going to have a nuclear device in the not too distant future.. and it is not likely that anyone is going to stop them. Russia is ready to sell upgraded air defense systems to Iran (if they have not already) and it will make penetration of their airspace by non-stealth aircraft quite difficult.

Now if some nation in the middle east that is friendly to the USA (golly.. who could that be) that is on the primary target list.. make that *IS* the primary target list for Iran...  if they had Stealth a/c they would be able to preemptive strike or retaliate VERY effectively.

Since the USA cannot perform this role without doing some serious explaining to the rest of the world...  you know the nations that accuse us of being imperialistic etc... then the alternative would be to give those at ground zero a chance (for a price of course) to have some cards to play.

Sadly, if the USA *was* all the bad things they claim us to be... these problems would not exist.. and gas would be about .35 cents a gallon.

  3. My friend says this. "We sell our fighters to our allies so that they are able to protect & defend themselves from any hostile intent or attack---so that we don't have to do it for them and waste even more American tax dollars! Do I need to be any more straight forward than that"?!? JAC
