Why do people say republicans are rich and dems are poor, I'am not rich but vote republican on my moral standered.

On the other hand most entertainers and yuppies are rich and vote democratic because they have no standard other than do what you want to feel good.

  1. That's a pretty gross exaggeration.

After all your moral standards include Gingrich, Guiliani, Morris, Foley and Craig.  To name a few.

Most of the cons here complain about Democrats wanting to give handouts to the poor and the ill.

Thats pretty moral in my book.

Charity does make us feel good.

    Whats immoral about that?

  2. I wish I were as rich as libbies claim Republicans are supposed to be. They also claim we are uneducated and from the south, neither of which are true in my case.

  3. Old stereotypes die hard.

  4. That's not true at all.  Republicans are no more moral believe me, I can't imagine why you would think that.  The number of republicans who get involved in scandals are not less than the democrats who get involved in scandals.  Politics and morals have nothing to do with each other.

  5. The vast majority of wealthy people are Repubic.  Movie stars and musicians largely came from working class roots and still hold to those values.   When the people who opposed the civil rights movement of the 60's left the Dems in protest, them became Repubics.  They are known as the "live poor, vote rich" Repubics.

The civil rights movement was opposed primarily by southern Democrat governors. George Wallace, Orval Fauvus(sp?), and many others were all Democrats. Bull Connor, the police chief famous for unleashing fire hoses and police dogs on civil rights demonstrators, was a Democrat working for a Democrat mayor. It took a Republican president, Eisenhower, to send in federal troops to enforce court desegregation orders.

In the 1960s, senate filibusters against civil rights legislation were headed up by Al Gore, Sr and Robert Byrd, both Democrats. (Byrd, incidentally, is the only former Klansman serving in the US Senate.)

  7. It keeps the LESS enlightened voting for them through their quality propaganda.

  8. I vote Republican but I am middle class.

  9. I think it's because most Republicans are for small government and a capitalistic economy, while most Democrats lean toward socialism.

    I'm a poor Libertarian.
