Why in the philippines ,half spanish half filipino look absolutely native filipino?

ive seen many,and all of them look filipino ,dark skin,black hair, I DONT GET IT????they should be looking like half american and half filipinos do.....because people from spain are white ..just with darker features..

I guess because of the weather. The weather also affects the color of the persons' skin.

it';s because most of us stay under the sun and it affects the color of our skin..

we got darker features [hair and eyes] because it's not just the spaniards who colonized our country..

caucasian genes are recessive but the ones who truly are half spanish/half filipino as in 50/50 NOT "my grandparents were spanish" do look half filipino and half white for the most part. The number of spaniards in the philippines are extremely low and always have been extremely low.

and you cant say "look half american and half filipino"

american is not a race and can mean black/white/asian

Maybe Filipino characteristics are more dominant, than the spanish.

How many of them are truly half Spanish? Not may I'd bet.

There are not many Spaniards in the Philippines, how could there possibly be numerous half Spanish Filipinos?

Most Filipinos dont have alot of actual Spanish blood. The philippines was colonized by Spain but the Spanish empire mostly just traded with the Philippines through Mexico. There wasnt as much direct interaction between Spain and the Philippines, not too many Spanish colonist settled there either. Filipinos who are half white or American usually look sort of Latino or Hawaiian

what if there lieing? alot of filipnos tend to say they are part spanish, when they arent. only 3-4% of filipinos have spanish blood. so you must have been fooled lol or else they are in the sun to much

i think... the weather is the main factor.

but maybe many of them inherited  

more of the filipino than spanish characteristics.
