  1. Because of all the excuses under the sun as far as i am concerned.

If it wasn't the umpires then the Lankans must have cheated somehow, isn't that what India's excuses always are..It is never because they were beaten by the better team it is always they were cheated out of the win...

As far as i am concerned the best team won,and that was Sri Lanka..

  2. India lost because the fielding was very poor. the middle order was out of form and the keepers dropped more catches than they caught. kumble was poor and the fast bowlers bowled well in small passages. i hope they do well in the ODI's.

  3. "M" factor

    Failing of BIG 4's

Lack of big parternships & responsibilities

  4. Sri Lankans are good crickets~

    hope it helps!

    god bless!

  5. i think due to poor batting performances from the three senior players like dravid, sachin, saurav, we lost the match, only sehway played well against murali, and mendis.and one great find in this test match is that GAMPHIR,yes he should be added in forcoming test matches too.and we all indians will expect that india will grab the cup in onedayers against srilanka.rmrtheni@yahoo.co.in

  6. Their batsmen let them down, simple as that.

  7. Thanks for asking this question....

Look my friends, primarily india lost this test series coz of mendis,if mendis was not there, the whole series would have been otherwise...

and moreover indian batsmen have never faced such a new type of spin(i.e.carrom ball)

and more over not only the fab four failed to deliver, even the youngsters too didn't perform in the asia cup finals as he grabbed six wicket in that match..

secondly, the pressure which was built on the seniors coz of media, who made mendis a hero before his test debut itself.so its their mistake too.

  8. simply put they were outplayed by a better side

  9. did not bat well

  10. Firstly, beating Sri Lanka at home is an almost impossible task. Secondly, Sri Lanka have a lot more patience and endurance. India lack concentration for long periods of time. Moreover, injuries have been a major concern for India.

  11. India lost because there middle order did not perform.  Gambhir batted really well, and Sehwag provided good starts (although he threw away his wicket to often)

For the most part, Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, and Laxman failed.

As did Karthik and Patel.  None of them did as well as India needed them to.

Also, the bowling wasn't good enough at times.  Kumble rarely troubled the batsmen.

Team fielding was very poor as well.

  12. Srilankan team is more energetic and dynamic than Indian team...

    thats why.....

  13. Indians are eating ...........................................

  14. Lankans are good at Sub Continant

  15. 20-20 cricket is still stuck in their heads

    poor fielding

    ajantha mendis

they desperately need a break from cricket

  16. due to over confidence.............

  17. Without bias, I don' blame the Indian Team or the players individually or collectively for losing the Test series against Srilanka.

When there is plenty of Great and Performing Young Talent is available, why should the Selectors knowingly select some comparatively older players who are OUT OF FORM and continue to EXPERIMENT with them, and blame them later.

Cricket Fans want to see better players who perform to win--and Cricket Fans do not want to waste time and money to see Non-Performers in action.

India has great young potential players--but definitely Selectors' Philosophy and Policies must improve a lot--Professionalism and Performance of Players shall only be the Criteria for selection, it is part of TALENT MANAGEMENT for future of Indian Cricket.

  18. Due to the famous CHANDAL CHOWKDI or one can say 4 FAT ELEPHANTS sitting like shani in the Indian team.

  19. lack of preparation and tooo much self-confidence... that made them to lose the test cricket....

  20. Its mainly their batting which affected

  21. India lost because their players failed to perform due to their performance anxiety. We can understand the problem with the youngsters but Sachin, Dravid, Ganguli, Laxman's Anxiety is beyond me.
