Why is 7 constantly repeating events like swimming and gymnastics every day and showing none of the tennis???

They only thing I've seen was 15 minutes of the Nadal/Hewitt match three days ago. First set. 5-1 to Nadal on serve. Just saved a break point back on deuce. Channel 7 cuts back to the pool to show three heats, two of which had no Australians in them and then never went back to the tennis; even though Matty White kept promising they would. Next thing I knew; all we saw was 20 seconds of Nadal shaking Hewitt's hand having apparently won.

And since Nadal is set to take over the number 1 spot, Federer lost and Hewitt, stosur and guccione were all tipped to do well; seven hasn't shown a thing. Apparently they're content with replaying EVERYTHING that happens in the pool over and over again but they don't even update the tennis. I'd settle for updates but we get nothing.

because swimming and gymnastics are more popular (and unless you actully play tennis, it can be boring to watch and the scoring is confusing) besides, there are a ton of major tennis tournaments and the only time when you can watch swimming, gymnastics, and other non-major sports on tv is during the olympics.(also, isn't nadal already #1 in the world?)

Channel 7 are constantly showing replays of the swimming, and not showing quite a few of the other sports ! At least tennis gets a fair bit of coverage during the year, because some sports never get much media coverage, and channel 7 should be trying to support those sports more, but it certainly isn't happening! I think lots of people are sick of bloody swimming !

Mate, if I have to see another swimming heat and miss gold medal winning events - I'll through up. Yesterday I had to watch the 4x200m almost dozens times. There is 380 gold medals events - not just swimming and gymnastics.

I totally agree. But not just the tennis, there are sports on all over beijing and all we see are the swimming, gymnastics, and kayaking/canoeing. And who said AFL is a joke?
