Is there any reason for this? 2% - 3% of the RDA is very little, why even take a supplement with this little in it?

  1. potassium in excess can stop your heart.

too much potassium in pill form becomes prescription... just like say... aleve... its available OTC for 200mg per tab, but you need prescription for 400mg per tab...

it keeps people from unwittingly poisoning themselves and end up dead.

  2. Potassium is so dangerous that a lot of hospitals do not stock the vials of it on the patient floors.  For us, where i work, to get any potassium from the pharmacy, it HAS to be diluted.
